We can see the Onkyo C-N7050 having a wide appeal. So my lesson was be careful what I wish for and sometimes even the same manufacture can cram higher priced guts into a machine (the 7070) in the end I was more impressed with the 7030 because at it's price point, it's just too good hearing the sounds of that Wolfson DAC coming out of a sub $200 deck. The 7070 didn't sound significantly better, or even different than the 7030, and even though it had an all aluminum transport/tray, the thing made noise and it didn't have that feel of solidity. Remote Control Operation: You can control playback operation of the C-7030 by using your Onkyo receiver's remote control. All the other players I've played with I got by getting them either on Demo or Open Box deals. Direct Change: If the C-7030 CD player is connected to an RI-compatible Onkyo receiver, when you start playback on the C-7030, the Onkyo receiver will automatically select the C-7030 as the input source. I never had the $ for that player so I've never heard it.

The key lies in keeping the audio signal clean and free from interference, all the way to the output stage. Hell, they (Onkyo) even 'float' the circuitДЄnd now to Tullman's experience with the Onkyo 7000. high-quality components and decades of Onkyo audio know-how, the C-7030 CD player delivers a superb playback experience. But I've opened all mine up and the construction is right up there with the more expensive Marantz's.
